New York On My Mind

Its been a busy first part of the year preparing for my solo exhibition and also participating at the 1-54 contemporary African art fair. Its exciting and humbling to be exhibiting with an amazing group of artists at the 1-54 Art fair in New York.

Studio Processes Culminating To An Exhibition

Now that the exhibition is up and running here are some shots of the studio processes that culminate into a show. As an artist most of what the public gets to see is the finished product and never the process that leads to it. The sketching, the studies which I have posted before. Some of the works on paper have been exhibited as studies and complete works which I then develop further onto works on canvas.

Divine Discontent Exhibition

Finally the exhibition opened yesterday at the Oneoff gallery, Nairobi with friends, family and the art fraternity. To keep up with the spirit of updating here are some images of the exhibition. I hope you will manage to visit the gallery where the show is up till the 24th of May.
